Thank Mariel. i’m not planning to trade my laptop for an easel any time soon, though. Somthing tells me I might go hungry, if I did.
My immediate plans include going home and sleeping in my own bed. For a bit, anyway. I am launching my first book on the 9th in Beirut and shortly after that, i’ll be off to Damascus to write a guidebook for one of the magazines I write for. After that, no plans. A nervous breakdown, perhaps?

My advice to Finnair: adopt Warren Singh-Bartlett as your travel story teller in residence. Give him honorary Finnish citizenship, keep him flying around the world and collect anecdotes and stories. Let him have his own video show on destinations, inspire your customers and be really different to other airlines – a personal travel guide with a high sense for quality and adventure. I for one will miss reading his amazing short stories.

Warren – your question – what would T have made ?
I think your painting is such a good fare-well to your time as a flying air hunter – it says keep on smiling – the world offers a lot if you are ready to catch the opportunity. The answer to you question: I might in this case have added a silhuette of a blueandwhite bird – flying home before sunset…….
